The problem was many of these small companies could did not have a page rank (what's that?) because they didn't have any links to their site. We tried emailing vendors, partners, with a request but did not seem to get lasting results. This is partly because of waiting for web masters "nephew in the basement", and not getting them to link to the right pages with the right keywords. It was a frustrating process that could take months and months.

IM Local Links was started to remedy this problem. We provide a service to quickly facilitate getting links from other businesses with the same goal.
